Our objetive
Our main objective as a collective is to be the manager of a safe space in permanent construction with the purpose of making visible the situation of the Afro-descendant community, sensitizing different sectors of society with respect to structural, systematic and normalized racism, which has historically subjected multiple conditions of vulnerability in the territories and in various contexts for Afro people; It is imperative to undertake affirmative actions to overcome said condition, through the demand and incidence in the implementation of laws, decrees and public, local and international policies, created for this purpose.
Our mission
We are a meeting space for the black and Afro-descendant populations living in the city of Cali, on the Pacific coast and in the north of Cauca, which contributes to strengthening and creating conditions to safeguard the integrity of all, through advocacy, especially in situations of vulnerability of rights generated by structural racism. The transversal objectives are the dissemination, promotion, conservation and potentialization of the Sociocultural Values of the populations through intersectional feminism, non-violence and gender equity as elements that enhance the essential relationships between human beings.
Our Values
Justice
We devise a world where the living conditions of black and Afro-descendant populations are dignified, where our rights, territory, culture and ways of conceiving the world are respected, one where fear of what is "different" has no place.
Empathy
We firmly believe that recognizing the other is the way to eliminate gaps in social inequality, it is also the way to decolonize and deconstruct minds and bodies from the idea of the only ways to exist.
Integrity
We think that as a collective in the honest, respectful and assertive practice of our values as an organization and as a society, when making decisions with a view to mitigating the different types of violence that racialized bodies go through and strengthening the social fabric.
